Our Visit to Barbadillo Winery

Wine Making Proccess 
We learnt about the wine making proccess in BarbadilloWinery in Sanlucar de Barrameda.



First vines are grown in a soil called "Albariza". After that, Palomino grapes are carefully cut from the vines. Then, musts are poured in metal tanks. The new wines are classified for ageing.


Casks are made of American oak. Then, wine is fortefied with alcoholAfter that, older wines are blended with younger wines.
 Fino wines are aged under yeast or "velo de flor". Then wine is bottled from the lower butt. Manzanilla is produced only in Sanlucar de Barrameda. Finally, Barbadillo wines are sold wordwide.
