Sherlock Holmes

Sherlock Holmes is the world's most famous detective. Holmes is the original crime expert. But he is not real. he was created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in 1887. Sherlock Holmes appears in 60 books, published between 1887 and 1927. Sherlock's rivals in the books are Shakespeare, the Bible and Harry Potter.


More than 70 actors have played him in more than 200 films. With Dracula, Sherlock is who is in the most films. Holmes returned in a new film in 2010 with Robert Downey Jr as Holmes and Jude Law as his friend Watson.



In the books, 211b Beaker street is the London address Holmes and Wastson. In the real world, until 2002, it was a bank. Today 221b is the number of Sherlock Holmes Museum. Sherlock had a famous phrase that appeared in one of his films since then it is the most famous: "Elementary, my dear Watson". He always wear in his stories a memorabilia and a pipe.
